Lead / Senior Process Commissioning Engineers - Expression of Interest

Wood Commissioning is looking for experienced Lead / Senior Process Commissioning Engineers for a number of upcoming onshore and offshore contract opportunities both domestically and internationally:

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for leading a single discipline through the preparation, execution and handover of completed systems and sub-systems
• Implement the HSEQ Management System during all phases of the work
• Implement the Commissioning strategy associated with the discipline
• Provide input to the Commissioning schedule for the particular discipline
• Lead the preparation of system and sub-system breakdown for discipline Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in accordance with the Limits of System Handover (LOSH)
• Lead the preparation of Commissioning quality and safety procedures for the discipline
• Produce a Commissioning Scope of Work summary for each sub-system for the particular discipline from which the detailed Commissioning Procedures will be developed
• Specify and procure temporary systems and equipment for commissioning purposes
• Identify specialist contractors required for commissioning purposes for the discipline
• Identify Commissioning tools and test equipment requirements for the discipline
• Identify Utility, Chemical and media requirements for commissioning purposes
• Lead the preparation of Commissioning and start-up Procedures and Method statements
• Identify any areas of workscope minimisation during the detailed development of the work
• Attend Factory Acceptance (FAT) and System Integrity (SIT) tests as necessary
• Prepare data for download to the completions and commissioning databases
• Prepare risk assessments for the discipline
• Prepare schedules for vendor attendance and preservation in accordance with the requirements of the overall plan
• Assist in the specification of Commissioning and Start-up spares
• Prepare first fills and lubes requirements
• Prepare training requirements
• Compile punchlists generated in the discipline during Mechanical Completion, pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities
• Identify manpower requirements
• Supervise functional and dynamic Commissioning for the discipline
• Identify and provide competent resources from the discipline for assisting Operations during start-up and initial operation
• Identify and provide competent resources from the discipline for Performance Testing of equipment
• Lead the preparation of manhour estimates and job cards
• Assist with the preparation of responsibility matrices and RACIE charts
• Raise Engineering Queries as necessary for the discipline
• Lead the preparation of asbuilt drawings and records
• Prepare discipline reports

Qualifications: 

• HNC/D (or equivalent) in suitable Engineering subject
• BSc (or equivalent) in Engineering preferable
• BOSIET / OGUK Medical
• IT Literate (Excel / Word / PowerPoint etc)
• Company mandatory training (Induction, risk awareness etc)
• Task Risk Management Trained Person
• Conversant with Project Management Systems
• PTW Awareness

Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 

• Demonstrable experience in similar role, with a proven background of delivery
• Strong multidiscipline experience in O&G system commissioning, start-up and operations
• Recognised O&G process commissioning background
• Experienced in O&G systems commissioning and testing
• Familiar with O&G process equipment, start-up and operation
• Experienced in planning and coordinating system commissioning activities
• Experienced in running multidiscipline HAZOP's / Risk assessment reviews
• Experienced in the management of system commissioning personnel / team
• Extensive knowledge of O&G related HSEQ safe working practices / procedures
• Experienced in the development and coaching of team members
• Ability to interface and interact with Client Representatives at all levels
• Offshore experience in similar role
• Conversant with HR practices / processes
• Conversant with TRM / Audit process
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to demonstrate high level understanding of HSE safe working practices and procedures and their implementation
• Ability to manage / maintain budget / schedule requirements
• Fully conversant with the completions and commissioning process
• Ability to interpret project procedures, standards, specifications, and drawings including PFD's / P&ID's / SLD's / C&E's etc
• Ability to produce system commissioning strategy documents and review / approve commissioning procedures
• Able to develop / review and approve design of temporary minor utility systems and supplies
• IT literate in all major software packages (Word / Excel / PowerPoint etc)
• Able to implement, manage and audit Permit to Work procedure and Isolation procedures
• Familiar with national/international O&G industry legislation, standards and specifications
• Conversant with completions management software and its functionality
• Good level of understanding of construction / commissioning processes
• Good organisational and scheduling skills
